Book Writer provides some interesting tools aimed at helping writers organize themselves. Its helpful features and smooth flow make for an interesting way to write. The program's interface appeared cluttered, but it was surprisingly simple to grasp. It reminded us of a mix of word processing software and database managers. With a brief look at the Help file's tutorial, we were able to start building a book. One unfortunate aspect was that we couldn't start fresh and had to build our work off of the example book due to the software's trial limitations. Regardless, we got a great feel for Book Writer's capability to separate chapters, create outlines, and build a database of characters and a list of events. We were able to utilize all the tools by jumping to a chapter, typing up a scene, and inserting people and places from our database.

One feature to keep organized was its Search option, which sorted through all the chapters and databases to find a specific phrase or word. We constantly felt this would be a beneficial tool for keeping complex projects organized, since it basically creates a set of virtual notes. Book Writer's interesting mix of writing software and data collection made it a helpful tool for writing books.Book Writer's 30-day trial comes with limits, such as one sample book layout. It installs desktop icons without permission and leaves folders behind after uninstalling. Its mix of data and writing makes this a helpful tool that we recommend. You can see under iCloud, I have two different books listed, and I'm editing book 1, 2184. Pane 2 shows two chapters of that book, while pane.

The Perfect App For Writers.Notes + Recordings + Photos + RemindersPerfect for Writing books, stories, poems, reports, novels, and more.Type, record, or type while recording/playing, also add in photographs and capture everything. This is the quickest & most effective writing app available DESCRIPTION This app helps you create notes & stories very rapidly and also make recordings during, as well as take or add photos. The notes and stories are color coded so you can find them instantly and you can change the note color on the fly. You can also set future alert reminders on individual notes.Recordings & Photos are built into the note and can be made any time - you can take notes & photos while recording or while playing, and you can pause/resume to add new recording sections to an existing recording. Ruth's Cardagahn, DO NOT GET!!!!!!!!!!I'm an aspiring writer, and needed a new app to help me sort and write my stories and such in a more organized fashion.
Out of the apps I saw, this one seemed to be the most well equipped for the job. When I first opened the app, I didn't like how the layout was created- and it, not uncommonly, the photos gave a very clean and professional look. I moved past this small factor though, just happy to have something to write in. After writing chapter three of my my new story, and starting number four, I decided to play around a bit and write some information for my three main characters.
Though, to my astonishment, it wouldn't let me start another note, only suggesting I switched to 'premium.' This automatically translated to 'hah, you have to get another app that actually costs money if you actually want to write in something other then notes' I immediately went to he AppStore to see if it even mentioned the limitation of four notes, though saw nothing. And all the reviews seemed pretty good, so what's up? Did everyone else just shrug it off and decide to go 'premium?'
I have no idea. I'm just a writer whose writing about a bad writing tool in order to help other writers like herself.

GraceNaoma, Great!I really like this app for those late-night or on-the-go thoughts that I HAVE to get down now or risk losing forever. I just wish there was a PC version! It’s so simple and has just enough tabs to help me keep from getting lost in a jumble of save files. I wish I could flip it all over to my computer when I want to be able to actually type, with my whole hands instead of pecking away on a tiny screen with my thumbs.
Trying to find a comparable program for my PC (not a Mac or I’d just use Final Draft) has been frustrating. I don’t want prompts, or crazy features, just maybe the ability to save projects by PROJECT (chapters, characters, notes), all in one program without having to have 1,000 different save files and as many windows open all the time. Is that so hard? Clearly it’s not THAT hard. This little app has managed to check.most.
of the necessary boxes. Even if it’s only on my phone. KammySpeaks, The Truth Is Here:Alright, so, lemme preface this with two things: You only get two FREE notes to use. That sounds like a bummer, right? You can export the chapters or notes or whatever to something else and then delete and repeat. It’s not that big of a deal. It is kinda helpful to keep only the essentials.
Write a chapter, take notes on what you don’t like, make it better, and then delete. If you want unlimited there is another app that you have to pay for. I’m gonna be honest with you there.
However, the features are pretty stinking great for the SMALL fee. It’s like.4 dollars, I believe. To have unlimited writing potential. Unlimited notes. Organized, unlimited notes.
Oh, sweet, sweet heavens. I’ve searched far and wide, even using memo apps to write, and I will admit.this one takes the cake. It is a GOOD app. I recommend and I hardly recommend anything. Get this one.
You’ll not regret it.
